Problem:
Man hat einen Benutzer auf einem Termianlserver oder einem Masterimage "perfekt" eingerichtet und möchte diesen als Standardbenutzer für alle neuen Benutzer einrichten.

Lösung:
Man kann das eingerichtete Benutezrprofil als Default-User-Profil einrichten.

VMWare View 4.5 keine Verbindung möglich

Problem :

Nach der Installation von IE9 ist keine Verbindung über WMWare View mehr möglich

Fehlermeldung :

"The View Connection Server connection failed. (null)"

Lösung :

IE9 wieder deinstallieren und auf IE8 zurück gehen , Grund ist hierfür das VMWare View die wininet.dll für die Verbindung nutzt , es ist auch möglich die wininet.dll eines System mit IE8 zu verwenden.

oder man updated auf View Client 4.5 build 353760 oder View Client 4.6 dort tritt dieser Fehler nicht mehr auf

PROBLEM
=======

When you start Microsoft Outlook (or another Office application) on Windows Terminal Server you may receive the following error message:

Outlook failed to start correctly last time. Starting Outlook in safe mode will help you correct or isolate a startup problem in order to successfully start the program. Some functionality may be disabled in this mode.
Do you want to start Outlook in safe mode?

You can click either Yes or No and Outlook opens. The next time you launch Outlook you are not given the prompt. However, at the next launch of Outlook you are given the prompt. On the following logon, you are not given the prompt. This loop of Outlook 2002/3 prompting for Safe Mode every other time you launch Outlook continues indefinitely.

CAUSE
=====

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Windows NT\Current Version\Terminal Server\Install\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Resiliency
with the key TermSrvCopyKeyOnce with a value of 0x1 exists in the Registry on the Windows 2000 Terminal Server in one of the subkeys under Resiliency.

When Outlook 2002/3 starts, the following Registry key is created:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Resiliency.

NOTE: The Resiliency registry key for Outlook is new for Outlook 2002.

If no problems are encountered, the Resiliency key is deleted. If one of the many tests that Outlook makes at startup fail, subkeys are written under the Resiliency key and the Resiliency key is not deleted. If the key remains,
the next start of Outlook 2002 gives the prompt.

If a subkey is deleted by an application from HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HKCU) --
specifically a subkey from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Resiliency while the server is in Terminal Server Install mode, the data is copied to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM):

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Terminal Server\Install\Software\\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Resiliency

When the application attempts with the server in Terminal Server Application Mode to access the key again and finds it missing, the application looks in this location (HKLM) for the key. If the Resiliency key is there and has the key TermSrvCopyKeyOnce under one of the subkeys of the Resiliency key, the Resiliency key is written back to HKCU.

In this case, the Resiliency key was written with subkeys while in install mode. Once the terminal server goes back
to application mode every user is affected since Outlook 2002 always looks for the Resiliency key, thus causing the loop.

RESOLUTION
==========

Deleting

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Terminal Server\Install\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Resiliency

resolves the problem.

If you are running Citrix Metaframe Presentation Server, check to see if speedscreenApi.dll is listed as the faulting module.
You may run into this issue after installing Metaframe and installing the lastest batch of Microsoft Updates for Windows 2000/3.

To fix this remove the keys for iexplore.exe and outlook.exe under

hklm\software\citrix\ctxhook\AppInit_Dlls\SpeedScreen

which should resolve the error message.
After that run the speedscreen manager to add those two applications to the list.

RDP-Session verwalten mittels qwinsta und rwinsta

Problem
Man möchte laufende RDP-Sessions auf einem Terminalserver abfragen oder administrieren (beenden etc.).

Lösung
Es gibt zwei Befehle für die Kommandozeile für diesen Zweck:

qwinsta = Query WINdows STAtion
rwinsta = Reset WINdows STAtion

Hier der Syntax zu den Befehlen:

qwinsta

Zeigt Informationen zu Terminalsitzungen

qwinsta [sessionname | username | sessionid]
[/SERVER:servername] [/MODE] [/FLOW] [/CONNECT] [/COUNTER]

rwinsta

Setzt Terminalsessions zurück

rwinsta {sessionname | sessionid} [/SERVER:servername] [/V]

RDP-Verbindung - lokale Drucker werden nicht umgeleitet

Problem
Wenn Sie Remotedesktopverbindung herzustellen werden Ihre lokalen Drucker möglicherweise nicht umgeleitet.
Daher sind die lokalen Drucker nicht in der Remotedesktop- bzw. der Terminaldienstesitzung verfügbar.

Lösung
Um dieses Problem auf einem Computer zu beheben, müssen Sie erzwingen, dass alle Anschlüsse auf dem Clientcomputer (einschließlich DOT4) für eine Umleitung gefiltert werden. Fügen Sie hierzu einen DWORD-Wert mit dem Namen "FilterQueueType" zu HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default\AddIns\RDPDR hinzu, und legen Sie als Wertedaten "FFFFFFFF" fest.

Führen Sie folgende Schritte aus, und beenden Sie anschließend den Registrierungseditor:

1.) Klicken Sie auf Start - Ausführen und geben Sie "regedit" ein
2.) Suchen Sie den folgenden Schlüssel in der Registrierung

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default\AddIns\RDPDR

3.) Bearbeiten -> Neu, und klicken Sie anschließend auf DWORD-Wert.
4.) Geben Sie "FilterQueueType" ein
5.) Klicken Sie im Menü Bearbeiten auf Ändern und geben Sie "FFFFFFFF" ein
6.) Dadurch können alle Anschlüsse auf dem Client umgeleitet werden.

Terminaldienste-Lizenzserver Fehler 0xc0110011 - interner Fehler

Problem

Users that were previously able to connect to a terminal server are now unable to connect. When you open the TS licensing manager and view the properties of the license server you get the following error:

"The Licensing Wizard encountered an internal error from the license server. Message Number: 0xc0110011"

Grund
The license server database is corrupted.

Lösung
To fix a corrupted license server database, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the TS Licensing service. When you reinstall the Licensing service, you will have an unactivated License server with no TS CALs installed. You will need to call the Microsoft Clearinghouse to reactivate so make sure you have your licensing documentation!

Go into Administrative Tools, Services and stop the Terminal Server Licensing service. Then go to c:\winnt\system32 and look for the Lserver folder. Rename it to LserverOLD.

Now go into add/remove programs, add/remove windows components and uncheck the terminal server licensing option and click next. If the terminal server is install on the same machine make sure you do not change the mode of the terminal server. Then finish the uninstall. Reboot.

After the reboot, go back to add/remove and check the TS licensing box again. Once again, do not change the mode of the TS if installed on this box. Finish the install and reboot.

Check your system event log for two informational event logs: Event ID 5 (TermServLicensing) and Event ID 0 (TermServLicensing). If you see these, proceed to opening the licensing console. You should see your server and that it is unactivated. You will then need to call the Microsoft Clearinghouse to activate the server and to reissue your TS license keypacks. Make sure you have all of your documentation!

Faxware Druckerteiber mit Citrix Published Applications

Problem
Einsatz des Faware Druckers unter Citrix Metaframe Published Applications.

Lösung
Um den Tobit FaxWare-Drucker aus Citrix Published Applications zu nutzen, kann ab der Version 6.6 mit Servicepack 1 der folgende Weg gewählt werden:

1. Geben Sie im Published Application Manager die Anwendung »DV4TS.EXE« frei.
2. Übergeben Sie die eigentliche Anwendung als zusätzlichen Parameter. Dies sieht dann z.B. so aus: »C:\WTSRV\SYSTEM32\DV4TS.EXE X:\PROGRAMME\WINDOWS NT\ZUBEHÖR\WORDPAD.EXE«.
3. Geben Sie der Published Application den von Ihnen gewünschten Namen ein(z.B. Wordpad) und geben Sie diese
nun frei.

Der FaxWare-Drucker kann nun aus der Anwendung heraus genutzt werden.

Problem
Dieser Artikel beschreibt, wie man NUR den Standarddrucker eines Clients bei einer RDP-Verbindung umleitet.

Lösung
Fügen Sie den RedirectDefaultPrinterOnly-Registrierungseintrag in der Windows-Registrierung, um Standard-Druckerumleitung auf ein Terminaldienste-Client zu konfigurieren. Gehen Sie hierzu folgendermaßen vor:

1.) Start -> Ausführen , geben Sie regedit ein.
2.) Suchen Sie den folgenden Registrierungsunterschlüssel:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default\AddIns\RDPDR

Hinweis: Zum Konfigurieren der Druckerumleitung für den aktuellen Benutzer verwenden Sie stattdessen den folgenden Registrierungsunterschlüssel:

5.) Doppelklicken Sie auf "RedirectDefaultPrinterOnly" und geben Sie "1" im Feld Wert ein
Hinweis: Geben Sie 0 im Feld Wert um den Registrierungseintrag zu deaktivieren

Nach der Installation steht der Flash Player nur Administratoren zur Verfügung. Nicht Administratoren erhalten die Option zur Installation des Players.

Um den Flash Player auch für Nicht Administratoren zur Verfügung zu stellen, müssen die folgenden Registry Keys angepasst werden:

Nach dem Starten einer Published Application erscheint nur der Desktop

Problem:

Man hat eine Application als published App veröffentlich und nach dem Start bekommt man nur einen Desktop angezeigt.

Lösung:

Hier gibt es zwei Stolperfallen, wodurch dieses Verhalten hervorgerufen werden kann.

1.) GPO
Es gibt eine GPO unter

COMPUTER > ADM VORLAGEN >WINDOWS KOMPONENTEN > TERMINALDIENSTE

"Always show desktop on connection" = enabled

Dieser muß auf Disabled stehen!

2.) Benutzer-Einstellung AD

In den Eigenschaften dees entsprechenden Benutzers ist in der AD unter "Umgebung" ein Haken bei "Folgendes Programm beim Anmelden starten:" gesetzt.

Auch wenn NICHT als Programm angegeben ist, hat diese Einstellung diese Auswirkung. Haken entfernen - Alles Gut!
